Abstract
Electron microscopy has played an important role in the diagnosis of surgical pathology and the establishment of new tumor entities and variants in the central nervous system. However, the use of ultrastructural analysis of brain tumors has decreased with the advent of immunohistochemistry. I present here my personal experiences and perspective on the role of electron microscopy in surgical neuropathology.Entities:
