Abstract
Rheumatoid arthritis is associated with increased morbidity and mortality due to cardiovascular events. Elevated concentrations of acute-phase proteins and cytokines and endothelial dysfunction, demonstrated also by lack of traditional risk factors, play an important role in these complications. Antirheumatic drug treatment can modify the frequency and severity of cardiovascular events.Entities:
