Abstract
Successful nursing care of surgical wounds is dependent on the nurse's knowledge and understanding of normal wound healing physiology, the type of surgery performed, the method of closure and the optimal treatment of the resultant wound. Using this knowledge, nurses can provide a systematic and holistic patient assessment, and consider any potential wound-related complications.Entities:
