Abstract
Persistent incontinence after toilet training in young girls and urinary tract infections or epididymitis in prepubertal boys should raise suspicion of an ectopic ureter. This often occurs in the context of duplication of kidney structures or other parenchymal abnormalities. The presence or absence of reflux affects surgical treatment, which may consist of ureteral reimplantation, ureteroureterostomy, and/or upper pole nephrectomy.Entities:
