New insights regarding vessel regression.

Eunok Im1, Andrius Kazlauskas.

Abstract

The regression of blood vessels is an intrinsic feature of both physiological and pathological processes. This suggests the existence of molecular regulators of regression, which would be potential targets for management and therapy of numerous diseases involving angiogenesis. This review summarizes some of the prevailing views on vessel regression and highlights our recent contribution to the field.
