Abstract
Tick-borne relapsing fever is a bacterial infection caused by spirochetes of the genus Borrelia. This zoonotic disease is transmitted to humans through the bite of soft ticks of the genus Ornithodoros. It is responsible for recurring fever access associated with spirochetemia. We present here an overview of tick-borne relapsing fever occurring in Europe, as well as of the potential threat to travellers.Entities:
