Abstract
We have studied the intracellular distribution of the proto-oncogene product pp60c-src in human platelets by immunofluorescence microscopy and by immunogold electron microscopy on frozen thin sections. Virtually all of the immunoreactive pp60c-src was found to be associated with the plasma membrane and with membranes of the surface-connected canalicular system. This localization suggests that pp60c-src may relay signals from an as yet unidentified cell surface protein to intracellular targets.Entities:
