Abstract
Wandering spleen is a very rare disease. It is a very dangerous condition due to the risk of splenic ischemia from persistent pedicle torsion. Here, we describe a case of wandering spleen diagnosed by ultrasound and computed tomography scans in an 11-year-old boy who suffered from frequent urination and enuresis. A laparoscopic splenopexy was successfully performed with fixation of the spleen in an extraperitoneal pocket. Since the operation, the organ has remained in place with good perfusion.
