Abstract
Persistent lower airway infection with inflammation is the major cause of morbidity and mortality in cystic fibrosis. This review examines the recent advances in the understanding of airway inflammation in cystic fibrosis, and focuses on the evidence that pulmonary inflammation is, under some circumstances, disassociated from infection, and the potential implications for therapeutic intervention.Entities:
