Abstract
Carcinoid tumors can present a difficult diagnostic and therapeutic dilemma. Despite their reputation as indolent tumors, they frequently metastasize and can cause significant symptomatology. The only curative therapy remains surgical resection. The prognosis and treatment of carcinoids vary based on location and histology, and therapy must be tailored to each patient.Entities:
