Abstract
Solitary fibrous tumors (SFTs) are rare, usually benign, spindle cell neoplasms that most often originate near mesothelium-lined surfaces of the pleural or peritoneal cavity. SFTs reported in the head and neck occur most commonly in the oral cavity, sinonasal tract, and orbit. We report a case of SFT of the retropharynx causing severe obstructive sleep apnea. The diagnostic and management strategies of SFTs are discussed.Entities:
