Abstract
Primary leiomyosarcoma of the parotid gland is an extremely rare neoplasm. We here describe the case of a 78-year-old male patient presenting with such a tumor. Five years after surgical treatment, the patient is alive and recurrence-free. To our knowledge, our case represents just the sixth case of primary leiomyosarcoma of the parotid gland reported in the English literature.
