Open rupture of the lateral ligaments of the ankle without dislocation: a case report.

Abstract

A severe inversion injury of the ankle caused complete rupture of the lateral ligament complex and an associated wound. Prompt surgical repair led to a satisfactory outcome with this rare injury.
