Abstract
This paper reviews the role played by IgE-binding epitopes in eliciting clinical symptoms, the types of IgE-binding epitopes in allergenic proteins, the methods used to identify IgE-binding epitopes, and the availability of IgE-binding epitopes in allergenic sources. Finally, bioinformatics methods to assess protein allergenicity using knowledge of IgE-binding epitopes are discussed.Entities:
