Abstract
Emphysematous prostatic abscess, namely, is an inflammatory process associated with gas and abscess formation in the prostate gland. It is a rare clinical condition and a few cases have been reported in the literature. We report a case of emphysematous prostatic abscess due to Klebsiella pneumoniae in a 60-year-old man with a 5-year history of diabetes mellitus and a 6-year history of alcoholic liver cirrhosis. Computerized tomography confirmed the clinical diagnosis. We successfully treated the patient with parenteral antimicrobial agents and surgical drainage. The patient was discharged without any voiding difficulty.Entities:
