Abstract
Clostridium scindens has not been previously associated with human infection. We describe a case of an adolescent female with Crohn's disease presenting with a post-surgical intra-abdominal abscess from which this organism was isolated in pure culture. This is the first documented report of human infection caused by this micro-organism.Entities:
