Abstract
Obstruction of the urinary collecting system in pregnant women can present a unique challenge to the urologist. Although ureteral obstruction due to stone disease is well-documented and ureteral obstruction is a well-known and defined cause of acute renal failure, obstruction from extrinsic compression is a less-understood phenomenon. We report a case of ureteral obstruction from hyperplastic ovaries in a pregnant woman receiving hormonal therapy that was managed initially with ureteral stenting.Entities:
