Abstract
Mental health is an essential component of worldwide efforts to contain the spread of HIV infection and to treat those who are already infected or affected by the virus. This paper describes the integration of mental health approaches into primary and secondary prevention strategies for vulnerable populations, the identification and management of psychiatric conditions that increase the risk for becoming infected with HIV, and the diagnosis and treatment of the neuropsychiatric manifestations of HIV infection.Entities:
