Abstract
Infection with opportunistic organisms, either singly or in combination, is known to occur in immunocompromised patients. A patient with systemic lupus erythematosus who developed Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia, cytomegalovirus pneumonitis, and salmonellosis is reported. She responded to early treatment with intravenous trimethoprim-sulphamethoxazole (20 mg/kg).Entities:
