Abstract
Non-Pseudomonas Gram-negative organisms account for over 10% of cases of peritoneal dialysis-associated peritonitis. The key findings from a paper by Szeto et al. are discussed and compared with those from previous publications. This type of peritonitis has a high rate of catheter removal and technique failure. Results may be better with more aggressive antibiotic treatment. Other developments in the field are reviewed.Entities:
