Abstract
Active surveillance of ambulatory and hospitalized children 2-23 months old in Cordoba, Argentina for invasive pneumococcal disease and radiographically confirmed "obvious" pneumonia revealed annual incidences of 206.8 and 2422 cases, respectively, per 100,000 children. The invasive pneumococcal disease incidence was substantially higher than those previously reported from Latin America and Europe.Entities:
