Abstract
Akt, also known as Protein kinase B (PKB), regulates essential cellular functions such as migration, proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, and metabolism. Akt influences the expression and/or activity of various pro- and anti-angiogenic factors and Akt isoforms (Akt1, Akt2 and Akt3) have been proposed as therapeutic targets for angiogenesis-related anomalies such as cancer and ischemic injury.Entities:
