Case report: transmesocolic laparoscopic reconstruction of ureteropelvic junction obstruction in pelvic kidney associated with extrarenal calices.

Pankaj Wadhwa1, Ashok K Hemal.

Abstract

Extrarenal calices are an uncommon congenital anomaly that may occur in an ectopic kidney. Rarely, they are associated with ureteropelvic junction obstruction. We report the first such case managed laparoscopically using a transperitoneal, transmesocolic approach.
