Abstract
One variant of thymic carcinoid has prominent mucinous stroma first reported in 1995. We describe such a case characterized by abundant stromal mucin resulting in a histologic picture resembling of metastatic mucinous adenocarcinoma. This variant seems to behave in an aggressive fashion and should be under the differential diagnoses of mediastinal neoplasm with prominent mucin production.Entities:
