Abstract
The treatment of Helicobacter pylori infection has become complicated by the lack of new treatment regimens and the emergence of drug resistant strains of H. pylori. Metronidazole and clarithromycin resistance are common in developed countries. Eradication rates have been falling in trials and in clinical practice around the world. A practical approach to the treatment of patients with H. pylori infection and those who fail initial eradication therapy is discussed.Entities:
