Abstract
We report the first case of post-kala-azar dermal leishmaniasis due to Leishmania infantum in a human immunodeficiency virus type 1-infected patient in Australia. Molecular characterization of the isolate was performed using PCR restriction fragment length polymorphism targeting both repetitive sequences from Leishmania nuclear DNA and repetitive kinetoplast DNA minicircles for species differentiation.Entities:
