[Normothermic occlusion of total hepatic blood inflow during hepatectomy. Clinical experience in 81 cases].

X P Chen1.

Abstract

Hepatectomy was successfully performed in 81 cases under normothermic occlusion of total hepatic blood inflow with the occlusive time ranging from 20 to 60 minutes in 46 cases and less than 20 minutes in 35. There was no mortality within 30 days postoperation. We discussed the safe time for normothermic occlusion of total hepatic blood inflow and some factors affecting human hepatic tolerance to prolonged normothermic ischemia.
