Abstract
Nursing home administration is seeing high turnover and low entrance into the profession. Face-to-face interviews were conducted with thirty NH administrators and coded using qualitative analytical techniques. It was found that constrained autonomy contributes to job dissatisfaction in the nursing home administrator profession, and that autonomy contributes to increased satisfaction and may lower administrator turnover.Mesh:
