Abstract
We present an elderly patient with an unusual extensive multifocal central nervous system mass lesion, with dramatic imaging changes but only minor disturbance of cerebral function. Cerebral biopsy revealed an unexpected finding of severe cerebral amyloid angiopathy with secondary florid vasculitic appearances, which is a very rare but recognised association. Immunosuppression has produced significant sustained clinical and radiological remission.Entities:
