Abstract
The family of genes encoding G-protein-coupled dopamine receptors continues to grow with the recent cloning of a fifth member. The availability of these clones has revolutionized the dopamine receptor field. Expression of individual dopamine receptors is permitting the detailed analysis of their pharmacology and coupling to second messenger systems, while probes based on the receptors' nucleotide sequences are being used to gain new insights into their tissue distribution and genetics.Mesh:
