Abstract

The Postgraduate Medical Education and Training Board (PMETB) is a new organisation set up to develop, establish, and maintain standards and requirements for postgraduate medical education (PGME) and training. First trailed in the NHS Plan, its remit covers the UK. As such it aims to be a single, unifying framework for doctors in training.
