Abstract
The number of adolescents and young adults undergoing intra-oral piercing, is increasing worldwide. There have been several case reports documenting oral and systemic complications of this practice. These include damage to the dentition, gingivae, infection, speech impediments and nerve damage. The case presented here draws attention to the possibility of multiple tooth fracture as a result of trauma incurred from a barbell inserted into the tongue.Entities:
