Abstract
Presented is the first known case of squamous cell carcinoma that developed at the site of a "pull" type percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy stoma. The patient had advanced squamous cell carcinoma of the pharynx when the percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy tube was placed. This article should serve as a warning of this potential complication. Alternate techniques and other precautionary methods are described.Entities:
