Abstract
Environmental changes, immune status and treatment failure constitute the three major risk factors for the (re-)emergence and spread of leishmaniases. Except for Leishmania-HIV co-infection, these risk factors are not systematically monitored and their interaction is poorly studied and understood. Recently, the multidisciplinary network Leish-Med was launched to document this issue around the Mediterranean and to promote transborder control strategies.Entities:
