Standardization in clinical photography at Addenbrooke's Hospital.

Jaclyn Murdoch1.

Abstract

Most, if not all, medical illustration departments in the UK provide medical photography as a principal service. The author believes that all work undertaken by qualified medical photographers must be of a uniformly high standard, and argues that departmental protocols exemplify the quality of work expected of staff, and help to ensure uniformity throughout a department. This paper outlines the procedure followed by staff within the Medical Photography Department at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge.
