Abstract
A report is made of the occurrence of acute idiopathic volvulus of the stomach in a 65 year old Nigerian male patient. To our knowledge, this is the first reported case of this rare condition in a Nigerian. The classification, diagnosis and surgical management of gastric volvulus are discussed and the world literature on this condition reviewed.Entities:
