AIDS-related non-Hodgkin's lymphomas.

This work reviews the current status of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) in HIV infected patients. HIV infection remains at significantly increased risk for the development of NHL. The great majority of these lymphomas are high-grade monoclonal B-cell neoplasms often occurring in unusual sites. A number of genetic abnormalities have been found but additional studies are necessary to understand the etiology and pathogenesis of NHL in the setting of HIV infection.
