Abstract
Ceramic brackets became popular as esthetic appliances which could withstand orthodontic forces and resist staining better than plastic brackets. Several clinical complications may arise from the use of ceramic brackets. They include the effects debonding can have on underlying enamel, attrition of teeth occluding with ceramic brackets and increased friction in the orthodontic appliance. Solutions to these problems are discussed which indicate the need for careful selection of teeth to be bonded with ceramic brackets.Mesh:
