Abstract
Hungry bone syndrome is a complication of parathyroid surgery where the correction of primary hyperparathyroidism is associated with rapid bone remineralization, causing severe and prolonged hypocalcaemia [1]. We present a case of hungry bones where although there was rapid bone formation, the serum calcium was maintained within normal limits owing to the development of secondary hyperparathyroidism.Entities:
