Abstract
We present a patient with intermittent pain over the right chest for 2 years. Computed tomograph of the chest disclosed a cystic tumor over the right posterior basal lung. Pathological examinations of the excised tumor disclosed a granulomatous inflammation within the multilocular bronchogenic cysts and microbiological culture of the tissue yielded Mycobacterium avium. This is the first reported case of infected bronchogenic cyst caused by M. avium in humans.Entities:
