Aggressive rehabilitation following anterior cruciate reconstruction: an update and protocol.

Dramatic changes in anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction surgery and rehabilitation methods have occurred during the past few years. These developments are reviewed briefly, and a rapid rehabilitation protocol is presented which facilitates the safe return of the patient to his or her pre-operative functional level in sports and activities of daily living.
