Abstract
This article describes the use of service-learning to promote cultural awareness in a course for prenursing students. A summary of the course design and rationale for service-learning are included. Students reported personal transformations as a result of the service-learning experience with diverse populations. Implications for the use of service-learning across the undergraduate curriculum are discussed.Mesh:
