Abstract
The autoimmune diseases of the thyroid are the most prevalent autoimmune diseases in man. In these diseases, the thyroid is invariably infiltrated by lymphocytes, which play a major role in pathogenesis. In this review, we discuss the mechanisms associated with lymphocytic infiltration of the thyroid, examining different models of thyroid autoimmune disease in mice.Entities:
