Cervical meningocoele presenting as a neck mass in a patient with neurofibromatosis 1.

Abstract

We report a case of an anterolateral cervical meningocoele presenting as a neck mass in a patient with neurofibromatosis 1. This lesion was diagnosed with the aid of computerized tomography and radionuclide scanning. The presentation, behaviour and treatment options of this uncommon lesion are briefly discussed.
