Commissural closure for repair of mitral commissural prolapse.

Abstract

With traditional mitral valve repair techniques, prolapse at a commissure presents a surgical challenge. When commissural prolapse is identified, simple closure of the commissure combined with annuloplasty enables rapid and reliable mitral valve repair.
