Case report: primary lymphoma of bone--MRI appearances with pathological correlation.

J M Vincent1, Y Y Ng, A J Norton, P Armstrong.

Abstract

A case of primary lymphoma of bone involving the proximal tibia is presented. The magnetic resonance (MR) appearances were unusual for a primary malignant tumour, with predominantly low signal intensity on both T1- and T2-weighted images. This correlated with marked fibrosis on histology. These observations are discussed in the context of previous reports of MRI in bone lymphoma.
