Abstract
The trans-Fe(DMeOPrPE)2Cl2 complex (where DMeOPrPE = 1,2-bis(bis(methoxypropyl)phosphino)ethane) undergoes a series of reactions that involve the activation of both H2 and N2 to produce ammonia and hydrazine. A Leigh-type cycle was employed to achieve laboratory fixation of dinitrogen at room temperature and pressure utilizing H2 as the reductant.Entities:
