Abstract
The number of cells expressing antigen to osteonectin was appreciably increased in the blood of coronary patients, but no cells of this kind were detected in donors. The number of CD34+ stem cells in these patients virtually did not differ from that in normal subjects. A close relationship between atherosclerosis development and presence of stromal stem cells with osteogenic potential in the blood is hypothesized.Entities:
