Abstract
A rapid route to gene molecular identification involves using recombination frequencies in locating mutational sequence changes. We describe a case where the recombination frequency is deceptively low, probably reflecting centromere proximity. Recombination frequencies are greatly reduced near the centromeres on the right arms of chromosomes III and IV of Aspergillus nidulans.Entities:
