Abstract
Photobacterium damsela was identified in a blood culture taken from a child with sickle-cell disease. This is the first report of this organism in humans in the Caribbean. The microbiology of this organism and its identification are discussed. The clinical presentation in humans and the role of the immune status of the patient are reviewed.Entities:
